About Us
We are a small family of craft roasters focused on micro-roasting organic coffees. We custom roast to order by hand in very small batches to ensure you get coffee at its peak flavor profiles.

Growing up in a primarily tea-drinking country across the pond on the emerald isle, tea never agreed with me, so I opted for coffee in my early years. Over time, my passion for this humble bean grew until it reached a crescendo when my taste developed to the point where I was continually disappointed and frustrated in my search for the perfect cup. So, I began roasting at home to control as much of the process as possible (and believe me, if I lived in a tropical country like Ethiopia, I’d also be cultivating my own coffee trees as well). After moving to California ages ago, I met my beautiful wife Shannon and our journey together has been a blast.
After years of home roasting, Shan suggested I sell my coffee because it tasted better than anything she found at the big coffee chains. However, this would require investing in a commercial roaster. This was too big of an investment for me until my gorgeous daughter graduated high school and was wondering about what to do with her life. She planted the seed about wanting to start her own business. This became food for thought, and so over a pensive few months, we pondered on the idea and decided. You know what, our whole family loves coffee so why not take a leap of faith, and invest in a small commercial roaster and see where it takes us. I’ll keep my day job for now but will help my daughter get on her feet. Nothing ventured is nothing gained, right? And here we are, doing what we love, how cool is that! I thank my girls for giving me the push; I’m too conservative and frugal to have ever done it by myself. And we also thank you, our customers for your support in helping us make a go at this. You think as we do, organic is simply better, a cleaner cup with a clearer conscience. Better for all of us and our resplendent blue jewel earth. Happy sipping!
