Despite being a next-door neighbor to Ethiopia, the birth place of coffee, coffee was only introduced to Kenya in the 1890s. Missionaries brought in Bourbon coffee from Brazil. The Kenyan highlands, rich volcanic soils, and good rainfall offer the perfect environment for coffee cultivation. Kenyan coffees are known for their acidity and vivaciousness, which dances on the palate. In the cup you can taste the wildness of Africa.

  • This medium (full city) roast coffee varietal includes SL28, 34 and Ruiru. Altitude is 1500 m.a.s.l. Process wet hulled and sun dried. Kenya yields a a full-bodied complex cup with bright citrus flavors pronounced by the lively acidity. Notes of plum, wine, and tart cherries also peek through in lighter roasts. It is a personal favorite of mine.

  • Please understand that while the shipping choice you select will give an approximate delivery time, your order still needs to be roasted first, rested, then packed and shipped. For example, if you choose USPS Priority flat rate and it takes 3 days for delivery, you will need to add at least 4 days to this so it will take about 7 business days for you to receive your coffee from the time of order.
