German and British colonies were established on Papua New Guinea in the late 1800s, in the north and south, respectively. Jamaican Blue Mountain arabica was introduced and became commercialized in the 1920s. Over 90% of coffee producers grow on only a few hectares of land shared with other crops like bananas. Due to its topography, fertile volcanic soil, and infrastructure, Fair-Trade organic coffees tend to be more common here than in other coffee-growing regions. Coffee production is centered around the Eastern Highlands with many farmers part of the Highland Organic Agricultural Cooperative.

Please understand that while the shipping choice you select will give an approximate delivery time, your order still needs to be roasted first, rested, then packed and shipped. For example, if you choose USPS Priority flat rate and it takes 3 days for delivery, you will need to add at least 4 days to this so it will take about 7 business days for you to receive your coffee from the time of order.
